PM, Romanian Defense Minister talk cooperation

Ammon News - Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Bisher Khasawneh received Romanian Minister of Defense Angel Tilvar on Thursday for a discussion on bilateral ties and cooperation.

During the meeting, the premier affirmed the strong ties with Romania and commitment to enhancing joint cooperation within the framework of the European Union.

Khasawneh pointed out that there are ample avenues for bilateral cooperation, especially in educational, cultural, commercial, and agricultural domains.

He noted the Jordanian-Romanian Agricultural Committee's meetings currently underway in Romania to bolster collaboration in food security and agricultural trade.

The prime minister spoke about developments in the region, foremost of which is the Palestinian cause, and regional and international efforts in the war on terrorism.

Tilvar pointed to "great potential" to increase cooperation with Jordan, pointing to the importance of exchanging expertise for the interest of the two nations.

The meeting also covered military and defense partnerships.
