Social Development Ministry: National platform on people without family support to be launched

Ammon News - Minister of Social Development Wafa Bani Mustafa announced Monday that her ministry, in cooperation with partners, will launch a national platform on people without family support.

The platform is to monitor and follow up on data about each case of lack of family support and find the necessary interventions at every stage of development of this segment until their integration into society, which will be devised and automated through the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, said the minister.

She was addressing a meeting held at the ministry with the UN Children's Fund (UNICEF), Noor Al-Hussein Foundation, Princess Taghrid Institute for Development and Training, King Hussein Foundation/ Institute for Family Health, Jesuit Refugee Service, Jordan River Foundation, International Medical Corps, Justice Center for Legal Aid, SOS Children's Villages and the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship.

Mustafa pointed out that the platform aims to draw up future plans for those without family support to improve their living conditions, noting that the ministry is the umbrella with the authority to deal with this group in cooperation with partners.
