Ammon News - Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply has made "important" achievements locally and abroad, in terms of steps taken to protect national products by implementing World Trade Organization (WTO) agreements related to anti-dumping and anti-subsidy measures.
The ministry successfully exempted Jordanian textile industries from the anti-dumping fees imposed by Morocco on its imports from other countries, said its National Production Protection Directorate, Maysoon Abu Bakr in a statement on Sunday.
This effort came within the framework of the investigative case, which was conducted on flooding the Moroccan market with carpets from several origins, Abu Bakr added.
The ministry, she noted, took the necessary measures and submitted its legal and technical documents to Moroccan authorities within the framework of the anti-dumping investigation launched by Moroccan side on December 31, 2020 on its imports of carpets and other textile rugs from several countries.
