Safadi meets his Syrian counterpart in Damascus

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs Ayman Safadi met his Syrian counterpart, Fayssal Mikdad, on his first visit to the Syrian Capital, Damascus since 2011.

Safadi arrived at Damascus airport Wednesday, on a visit to Syria and then to Turkey, as an expression of Jordan's solidarity with the two brotherly countries in facing the consequences of the earthquakes that hit them.

During the two visits, Safadi will discuss the humanitarian situation and relief needs needed by the two countries, as the Kingdom continues to send aid to the two countries, in implementation of the directives of His Majesty King Abdullah II.

Also today, the Kingdom will dispatch humanitarian aid planes to Syria and Turkiye, while land aid continues to be delivered to Syria.
