Ammon News - The General Industrial Production Quantities Index increased by 2.69 percent during 2022, reaching 92.27 points against 89.85 recorded in 2021.
The growth was mainly attributed to a 2.35 percent increase in quantities of transformative industries, a 3.94 percent in extractive industries, and a 6.36 percent in electricity, according to the Department of Statistics' (DoS) monthly report issued Monday.
The report indicated a 4.34 percent decrease in the index during December 2022, retreating to 87.19 points compared to 91.15 in December 2021.
