Ammon News - The Consumer Price Index (CPI), a measure of inflation, edged up 3.77 percent in January 2023, reaching 107.62 points against 103.71 in the same month of 2022.
According to a monthly report issued by the Department of Statistics (DoS) on Sunday, the biggest drivers of the increase were fuels and lighting contributing 31.82 percent, rents with 5.17 percent, transportation with 2.39 percent, dairy products and eggs with 7.88 percent, and culture and entertainment with 10.40 percent.
