Ammon News - The Jordanian-Iraqi Business Forum will kick off Wednesday in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, with the participation of business owners and investors from both countries.

The three-day forum, which will be held under the slogan "Partnership for the Future," is organized by the Jordan Chambers of Commerce and Industry and the Jordanian Businessmen Association.

The Jordanian delegation participating in the forum includes representatives of companies operating in various economic sectors, including foodstuffs, communications, information technology, medicines, clothing, financial and banking services, insurance, construction, contracting, real estate development, tourism, agriculture, mining and plastic industries.

In light of the current global economic situation, the forum provides an opportunity for the private sectors of Jordan and Iraq to work together to take advantage of and make the most of the opportunities presented, thereby advancing the strategic goals and common interests of the two countries.

The forum will be held concurrently with the joint Jordanian-Iraqi committee meetings and will feature bilateral meetings between Jordanian and Iraqi businesses as well as an overview of investment opportunities in the Kingdom.

The delegation is one of the biggest economic delegations to visit Baghdad, which reflects Jordan's desire to forge close economic ties with Iraq and support initiatives launched by His Majesty King Abdullah II and and the Iraqi leadership.
