Ammon News - Member of Jordan Businessmen Association, Michel Nazzal, revealed on Thursday the closure of “7” 4-star hotels in Amman, due to its faltering and not making any profits.

He added, during the discussion of the draft general budget law for the fiscal year 2023, that "the losses moved from 4-star hotels to 5-star hotels, due to lowering their prices and declining revenues."

The hotels that were closed "provided about 800 direct jobs, and 2,000 indirect jobs", Nazzal indicated.

"The absence of support for the existing investor from our budgets and economic plans negatively affected investment in Jordan," according to Nazzal.

Nazzal suggested to start providing incentives and support to the existing investors, to enable them to increase his profits, to become a tool to attract investments.
