Ammon News - AMMAN - The Jordanian Radio launched its 6th station (Hadaf FM) on Saturday marking the 48th anniversary of His Majesty King Abdullah II birthday.
Board Chairman of the Jordanian Radio and Television Corporation Saleh Al Qallab, who inaugurated the new station, said Hadaf FM "is a present provided by King Abdullah to Jordanian youth, the leaders and builders of the future", noting that His Majesty the King attaches greater attention to the youth sector and Queen Rania, too, devotes great amount of time and effort to youth development.
Jordanian Radio Station Director General Mazen Majali said the 6th station is a fresh start, launched in implementation of King Abdullah directives, to give greater attention to issues and concerns of the youth sector.
The media policy of Hadaf FM will center on youth and sports programs and will be interested in covering local, regional and international sports events, Majali said.
Other radio stations run by the Jordanian Radio are the official radio station (General Program), Quran Radio, FM, the Foreign Program and Irbed Radio.
Hadaf FM broadcasts programmes at frequency of 88 MHZ and is available from 10:00 am until 6:00 pm daily.
