Ammon News - The Arab Parliament Saturday commended the outcomes of the Saudi-Chinese summit and the Riyadh Gulf and Arab-Chinese summits for cooperation and development held in Saudi Arabia.
According to a statement, the Speaker of the pan-Arab legislature, Adel Assoumi, said the summits represent an "important station" for supporting and strengthening strategic relations between Arab countries and China.
Assoumi noted that China is an "important pillar" of international politics and is the second-largest economy in the world, adding that working to strengthen and consolidate the bonds of Arab relations with China is "in the interest of all parties."
He praised China's support for outstanding Arab struggles, especially the Palestinian cause, expressing his aspiration that China would push and weigh in in support of the Palestinians' right to establish a Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital.
