Ammon News - The Department of Statistics (DoS) issued its monthly report on foreign trade in Jordan, which indicates that the value of total exports during the first nine months of 2022 amounted to 6,700.0 million dinars, an increase of 42.0% compared to the same period in 2021.
The value of national exports during the first nine months of 2022 amounted to 6169.3 million dinars, an increase of 44.0%, and the value of re-exports amounted to 530.7 million dinars during the first nine months of 2022, an increase of 21.6%.
As for imports, their value amounted to 14,837.2 million dinars during the first nine months of 2022, an increase of 36.8%.
Thus, the deficit in the trade balance amounted to 8137.2 million dinars, an increase of 32.8%.
On the monthly level, the value of total exports during September 2022 amounted to 773.2 million dinars, an increase of 30.7%, the value of national exports during September 2022 amounted to 714.8 million dinars, an increase of 33.0% and the value of re-exports amounted to 58.4 million dinars during September 2022, an increase of 7.9%.
As for imports, their value amounted to 1823.0 million dinars during September 2022, an increase of 30.5%.
Thus, the deficit in the trade balance amounted to 1049.8 million dinars, an increase of 30.3%.
