The Arab American Business and Professional Association organized its annual gala dinner on Friday, to honor the best project during the year 2022.

Al Bawadi Grill Restaurant won the award for the best project of the year for its owner, Ismail Abu Fares, a Palestinian born in Jordan.

In a speech delivered by Abu Fares during the dinner party, he thanked the association that organized this event, especially Amir Darwish, and also addressed a word of thanks to his family.

Abu Fares is considered the head chef in the restaurant, as he still supervises the preparation of food and still prepares some foods for customers himself.

The Board of Directors voted unanimously to change the name of the award to become (Amir Darwish Award for Best Works of the Year) in honor of Mr. Darwish's service to ABPA and the Arab American community in general.

It is noteworthy that the launch of the annual award was in 2021 to honor Arab companies that embody excellence in customer service, operations, and marketing presence via social media.

The ABPA is a business organization founded in 1991 that promotes networking opportunities among the Arab American community and provides tools and resources to achieve growth for small business owners and professionals.
