JPMC, Turkish company ink agreement

Ammon News - The Jordan Phosphate Mines Company (JPMC) and the Turkish Transpet Petroleum and Energy company on Tuesday signed a memorandum of understanding to study the economic feasibility of establishing a joint factory for phosphoric acid in the Aqaba governorate with a production capacity of 500 tons per day.

The signing of the memorandum follows a visit of a delegation from Transpet to the JPMC and the Turkish company's willingness to create a joint effective partnership in this area.

The JPMC's CEO Abdul Wahab Rawad and Transpet's member of the Board of Directors Mustafa Kor signed the memorandum.

Rawad stressed the importance of this partnership in enhancing the company's position at the local and international levels, while Mohammad Thneibat, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the JPMC, highlighted the company's plan to expand manufacturing industries and diversify sources of income as production quantities and exporting to global markets increase.

Meanwhile, Kor expressed the Turkish company's pride in this partnership, which will strengthen and develop cooperation relations between public and private sector institutions and companies in Jordan and Turkey.
