Ammon News - The Ministry of Labor, in cooperation with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Public Employment Services Network (OIC-PESNET), within the capacity-building program in the field of public employment for the member countries of the OIC, organized on Tuesday, a remote training seminar using visual communication techniques, entitled “Knowledge Economy, Enhancing Entrepreneurship Activities and Reducing Informal Employment” in the OIC region.
During the opening of the symposium, the delegate of the Minister of Labor, Director of the Central Employment Directorate in the Ministry, Dr. Aoun Al-Nahar, stressed the importance of highlighting the most prominent challenges and proposed solutions to support youth employment and provide job opportunities, and to review the most important experiences in mechanisms to support the expansion of small and medium enterprises, development and employment.
In his speech, Al-Nahar reviewed the efforts made by the Ministry of Labor in this regard; To provide job opportunities for young people, to reduce unemployment.
On his part, Director of the Training and Technical Cooperation Department in the OIC Onur ÇAĞLAR praised the efforts undertaken by the OIC Employment Services Network in the areas of training and capacity development in the field of employment.
The symposium was held based on the interest of the OIC in public employment services, and its continuous emphasis on increasing cooperation in the field of transferring knowledge and expertise to improve employment services and overcome common challenges in the field of employment among member countries.
Representatives of the Jordanian Ministry of Labor and the ministries of labor in Iraq, Palestine, Tunisia, Sudan, Mauritania, Morocco and Lebanon participated in the symposium, in addition to a number of experts and those interested in the knowledge economy and entrepreneurial activities.
