The value of the certificates of origin issued by the Amman Chamber of Commerce (ACC) during the past ten months of this year to export goods to Arab and foreign countries amounted to about JD742 million, compared to JD599 million for the same period last year.
According to statistical data announced by the ACC, on Saturday, the number of certificates of origin issued by Amman Trade in the past ten months of this year reached 30,526, compared to 31,689 certificates for the same period last year.
The certificates of origin issued by the ACC in the past ten months of this year went to many countries, most notably Saudi Arabia with 7722, then Kuwait 5913, the United Arab Emirates 4097, Iraq 1153, and Egypt with 907 certificates.
Exports were distributed in terms of value during the past ten months of this year to Iraq with a value of JD188 million, Egypt about JD98 million, Saudi Arabia JD94 million, UAE JD76 million, then Kuwait with a value of about JD33 million.
The value of foreign product exports “re-export” amounted to about JD320 million, industrial JD187 million, agricultural about JD143, then Arab products with a value of about JD60 million, and the rest to many other different products, according to statistical data.
ACC issues certificates of origin for Jordanian agricultural and animal products and raw Jordanian natural resources, for foreign goods that are being re-exported, and for foreign goods purchased from the local market under specific conditions.
It also issues certificates of origin for Jordanian industrial products at the request of the exporter based on the original factory invoice certified by the Chamber of Industry and an original and duly certified certificate of origin issued by the Chamber of Industry proving that the goods are of Jordanian origin.
