FM, Brazilian counterpart talk economic ties

Ammon News - Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi discussed on the phone with Brazilian Foreign Minister Carlos França Monday evening prospects of cementing bilateral economic and trade ties, especially Jordanian fertilizer exports to Brazil as well as cooperation in multilateral international organizations.

The trade volume between the two countries hit a peak of more than $424 million in 2021 and rose to about $460 million in the first nine months of this year, with Jordanian fertilizers having the largest share.

The ministers reaffirmed a common interest in further promoting cooperation and continuing coordination in counter-terrorism efforts within the framework of the Aqaba Process initiative.
