Ammon News - The 50th Annual Congress of the Jordan Society of Surgeons (JSS) opened on Thursday under the slogan: "Towards Minimal Complications of Surgical Operations" and attracted a large regional and global turnout of 350 doctors and nurses.
In his opening remarks, Senate President Faisal Fayez emphasized the necessity of establishing specialized research centers to keep up with the sector's advancements and noted that Jordan's efficient health sector made it a destination for treatment.
He urged the sector to form alliances with advanced international medical centers in order to continue providing high-quality services and positively influence medical tourism in Jordan.
According to JSS President Abdel Hadi AL Breizat, the three-day conference will provide education, training, consultation, and legislation. He went on to say that the event includes two workshops on injuries, principles of conventional and laparoscopic surgery, 17 sessions for doctors, two sessions for nurses, 46 lectures, and 23 research papers.
