Launching environmental initiatives in Karak

Ammon News - Charitable societies in Karak launched volunteer awareness initiatives entitled "Let's Sort it" with the aim of preserving the cleanliness of the environment.

"The Medien Women’s Charity Association" implemented a voluntary initiative with the participation of about 25 women, to train them on sorting and managing household waste.

The head of the association, Hania Al-Bayada, said that the initiative aims to create a clean environment and spread the culture of sorting solid waste from the source for the sake of a more beautiful Karak and a clean environment.

She pointed out that we seek to collect and recycle waste from the source to complete the circular economy in the hierarchical system and waste management.

For his part, the head of the Association for Renewable Energy and Environment Investment, Eng. Jamal Al-Nawaisah, confirmed that a number of training and awareness courses were held with the aim of achieving a safe and sustainable environment and a green economy.

A voluntary council of activists was formed in the governorate with the aim of deepening the culture of preserving the environment, especially waste recycling and networking with official institutions, especially municipalities and environmental departments, Nawaisha added.
