Ammon News - Heads of the sectoral teams entrusted to draft the executive program on Thursday discussed Jordan's Economic Modernization Vision (2023-2025) and the related mechanisms during their first meeting.

According to a ministry statement, work of these 22 sectoral teams is linked to four ministerial committees representing the program's four axes: Life quality, economic growth and prosperity, human resource development and employment, facilities and infrastructure.

Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Nasser Shraideh, who headed the discussions, said the best practices will be applied in the process of drawing the executive program, in terms of adopting a participatory policy with various stakeholders and ensuring " clear and measurable" performance indicators with targeted values at the national level.

In the coming months, he noted the first implementation plan will be carried out, which needs a three-year period and funding will be secured from capital spending through the public budget or foreign aid.

The minister also stressed the importance of adhering to a specified timetable and quality of outcomes in the program's final document in a way that contributes to achieving its objectives.

In addition, he highlighted the ministry's efforts in coordinating work of the various sectoral teams, stressing its role in facilitating and providing the necessary support for their activities.

The ministry will also harness all capabilities in this regard to reach the final outcomes, in accordance with the approved mechanism within the timeframe specified for this purpose, he pointed out.

The vision, he noted, is a roadmap for the next ten-year period to enable the Kingdom to benefit from the national economy's various potentials and harness its competitive advantages, to build on "promising" sectors and achieve the related goals and indicators.
