Jordanian-Algerian Investment Forum to kick off next Saturday-JBA

Ammon News - The Jordanian Businessmen Association (JBA) announced that it will organize the Jordanian-Algerian Investment Forum next Saturday, in joint cooperation with National Confederation of Algerian Employers (NCAE), which will be held on the sidelines of the first session of the joint Jordanian-Algerian Business Council.

In a statement on Wednesday, the JBA said this forum aims to enhance economic cooperation in various fields, contribute to launching joint investment projects and increase volume of trade exchange, as Jordanian and Algerian businesspeople will participate in the event's activities.

JBA president, Hamdi Tabba'a, lauded Jordanian-Algerian bilateral relations as " longstanding and historic," pointing out that the forum reflects JBA's efforts to promote Jordan's investment environment and network the two countries' business communities, in a way that supports and develops economic relations.

The forum is an opportunity to raise level of joint trade and investment relations, he noted.

The Jordanian-Algerian Business Council's founding agreement is scheduled to be signed during the forum, he announced.

JBA, he noted, will continue to intensify mutual talks for the two countries' private sectors and exchange trade delegations to introduce the two sides on the key investment opportunities and develop action mechanisms for the next stage, aimed to overcome any difficulties facing trade, import and export and investment activities.

For his part, JBA director general, Tariq Hijazi, said the forum will discuss Jordan's key investment opportunities in the economic sectors.

The Algerian side will also be acquainted with Jordan's important investment priviliges, he noted, adding that a number of joint meetings on foodstuff industries, trade, health, tourism and transport will be held to establish business partnerships between the two sides.
