Telecommunications Regulatory Commission signs 5G services agreement

Ammon News - Telecommunications Regulatory Commission and licensees of mobile communications services on Thursday signed an agreement in a preparation to make the 5G services available in Jordan.

During a ceremony held at the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission, Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, Ahmad Hanandah said that this agreement is a historic day for the industry of telecommunication in Jordan.

He added that the agreement includes the extension of current licenses for ten years, indicating that Jordanians have consumed 12 thousand terabytes daily, and it is expected to reach 15 thousand terabytes by the end of 2022.

The minister indicated that Orange and Umniah have signed the agreement today, hoping that Zain will do the same later.
