Ammon News - The Jordanian Nursing Council (JNC) participated in a conference on nursing and midwifery, which opened on July 19 in the Palace of Parliament in the Romanian capital, Bucharest.
The conference was organized by the country's nursing and midwifery syndicate, according to a JNC statement released Monday.
HRH Princess Muna Al-Hussein, President of JNC, in a speech delivered on her behalf by her consultant for health and social development, Rowaida Al Maaitah, congratulated the syndicate and the attendees and wished them further success, progress, and achievements.
New regional and global health challenges require an enhanced leadership and administration role in nursing, the princess added in the speech.
Princess Muna has called for "sound investment" in nurses and midwives and reshaping education and practice systems to produce high efficiencies.
The JNC delegation also discussed cooperation during a visit to Cotroceni National Museum and signed a memorandum of understanding with the Romanian syndicate to exchange expertise, training, and scientific research between the two nations.
