Ammon News - Minister of Culture, Head of the Jerash Festival Higher Committee, Haifa Najjar, on Tuesday conducted an inspection tour of Jerash Festival sites and facilities, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The minister said that the current edition of the festival focuses on the participation of Jordanian artists, intellectuals and craftspeople.

Expressing her pride partnering with Jerash and its municipality, civil society, women’s activities, security forces, technical teams and infrastructure workers, in preparation for the festival’s activities, she also commended the generosity and cooperation of the people of Jerash.

Najjar stressed that the festival represents part of the cultural industry and sustainable development, noting that it promotes cultural tourism and attracts visitors from all over the Arab world.

The minister called for the preservation of antiquities, as well as benefiting from solar energy to protect the environment.
