Ammon News - Flights at the London Luton Airport have been suspended after the only runway was closed for repairs due to high temperatures, according to the BBC.
The BBC cited the airport authorities as saying that engineers were racing to repair the runway after identifying a "superficial malfunction" due to the high temperatures.
It reported that the UK would witness the warmest day in its history, with temperatures expected to reach 40 degrees Celsius (104 degrees Fahrenheit) this week.
