Ammon News - The Social Security Corporation (SSC) has called on agricultural businesses, nurseries, kindergartens, small schools, and popular restaurants that are not registered as tourist establishments to benefit from the (Estidama++: Sustainability) program.

The program, which was launched by the SSC at the end of last June, is funded by Netherlands and Norway, and sponsored by Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation, in cooperation with the International Labor Organization (ILO), and provides services to Jordanian workers and expats.

In a press statement on Saturday, the SSC said establishments are required to be covered by law provisions on 1/6/2021, or any date thereafter to benefit from the program.

Businesses should also have 10 workers or less on 1/6/2021, or any subsequent date and should be eligible to benefit from the program's services, the SSC explained.

On other requirements, the SSC-insured worker's deductible wage should not exceed JD500. The future beneficiary shouldn't have previously benefited from the program, or any affiliated initiatives, the statement noted.

Under this program, which lasts for 18 months, wages are subsidized, as beneficiaries are paid a lump sum support of JD100 for a 3-month period, and assistance is equally paid to the employer and worker at JD50 each.

Establishments are allowed to register a maximum of 10 workers to benefit from the program, while agricultural businesses can register their workers, regardless of their number, provided that they are covered by all social coverage categories, the SSC said.
