Last December, the UN Security Council adopted a resolution calling for urgent steps to immediately allow the delivery of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip and create conditions for a ceasefire. The Executive Director of the United Nations Office for Project Services, Jorge Moreira da Silva, is set to provide a media briefing on this matter. It is worth noting that the United Nations Office for Project Services has been tasked with activating and managing the mechanism stipulated in Resolution 2720.

Ammon News - The UN Security Council is holding a session, during which members will hear a briefing from the Senior Coordinator for Humanitarian Affairs and Reconstruction in Gaza, Sigrid Kaag, on the implementation of UN Resolution 2720.

Last December, the UN Security Council adopted a resolution calling for urgent steps to immediately allow the delivery of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip and create conditions for a ceasefire.

The Executive Director of the United Nations Office for Project Services, Jorge Moreira da Silva, is set to provide a media briefing on this matter.
