Ammon News - The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities and Jordan Tourism Board (JTB) launched activities of "Urdun Jannah" programme, which encourages domestic tourism, in the cultural square of Karak Castle, and saw a large attendance.

The programme features multiple musical and folkloric performances, bazaars, and artistic shows at Karak's archaeological sites, which are scheduled to run to end of September 2022, according to a ministry statement released on Saturday.

Launching these activities comes to revive tourism in the Kingdom's governorates, aquatint citizens with the country's diverse tourist and archaeological sites, and empower local communities by holding popular bazaars by Karak's charitable associations, the statement added.

The ministry said the programme's trips will be launched to attend these activities and tour the tourist and archaeological sites, noting entry to attend the events will be free.

Reservations for the programme's tours, which are jointly subsidised to cover more than 50 per cent of the cost of each trip for Jordanians, will be made by travel offices listed on the "Jannah.jo" application on smart phones, the ministry noted.
