Ammon News - About a thousand Palestinian prisoners have been infected with the Corona virus since the outbreak of the pandemic.

Director of the Documentation and Studies Unit in the Palestinian Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs, Abdel Nasser Farwana, said Wednesday that that the 83-year-old prisoner, Fouad Al-Shobaki, the oldest Palestinian prisoner, was infected with the Corona virus.

"This announcement reminds us of the need to dispatch an impartial international medical team to visit Israeli prisons, conduct comprehensive tests fro all prisoners and detainees, and learn about the seriousness of their health conditions" Al-Shobaki underlined.
