Most Aqaba gas leak victims discharged, says official

Ammon News - The majority of those injured in a recent chlorine gas leak incident in Aqaba had been discharged from hospitals, according to Aqaba's Health Department Director Jamal Obeidat.

He said in a press release on Thursday that only three patients are still receiving treatment at the Specialty Hospital in the capital Amman, noting that they are in "fair condition."

Caused by a snapped wire rope, the gas leak incident at the port city took 13 lives and injured more than 300 last month. The incident was investigated and the case is now in the hands of the public prosecutor's office.
