Ammon News - Deputizing for His Majesty King Abdullah, Royal Court Chief Youssef Issawi Saturday led a ceremony to bid farewell to 90 pilgrims, members of families of dead or injured military and security personnel, heading to Saudi Arabia to perform the hajj.
The convoy, which set off from the Royal Court, is part of His Majesty’s makruma (benefaction) and care for the families of military personnel, who fell or were injured in defence of the country, and in recognition of their sacrifices.
In a farewell speech, Issawi conveyed the wishes of His Majesty for a safe journey of faith to the pilgrims, who answered the call of Allah Almighty to perform the Hajj, a key pillar of Islam.
