Ammon News - Qatar's Ambassador to Jordan, Sheikh Saud bin Nasser Al Thani, on Sunday visited the Al Hussein Technical University (HTU), a Crown Prince Foundation initiative, accompanied by the embassy's cultural attache.

HTU President Ismael Al Hinti welcomed the Qatari envoy and lauded the bilateral ties, expressing appreciation for Qatar's support to the HTU and its embassy's positive role in supporting the technical education in the Kingdom.

Al Hinti gave a breifing on the HTU and its key goals and education advantages, pointing out that the HTU always seeks to open up prospects for cooperation with Arab countries.

For his part, Ambassador Al-Thani and Al-Hinti discussed ways to enhance cooperation in academic fields, open channels of communication with universities and educational institutions in Qatar, and attracting Qatari students and students of the Jordanian community in Qatar.

He commended the HTU efforts in ensuring the success of the TED in Arabic, which was organized by Qatar Foundation and hosted by the HTU at the King Hussein Business Park at the beginning of this month.

The HTU is the latest technical university established to support technical education in Jordan. It is located in the King Hussein Business Park in Amman and offers bachelor's degrees and intermediate technical degrees in engineering and computer science.
