Ammon News - Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Saleh Kharabsheh, issued a circular to review Economic Modernization Vision and forward related scenarios to implement Jordan's energy programs in "innovative" ways.

Under the circular, the ministry's directorates are urged to find ways to develop implementation plans with "clear and specific" procedures and performance indicators for the purpose of follow-up and assessment, he told a meeting held Sunday, with its Planning and Coordination Committee.

Discussions went over initiatives related to the mining and energy sector, and tackled the measures that will be taken to implement the vision's recommendations related to the energy and mineral sectors, a ministry statement said.

Meetings with partners from the public and private sectors and stakeholders will be held to discuss energy initiatives and their implementation mechanism to ensure "participatory" action among the concerned authorities, he pointed out.

To highlight the vision's axis, under the theme: "A Better Future," a presentation was made to provide insight on its two "strategic" pillars: Accelerated growth by unleashing full economic potential, and improving citizens' life quality, with focus on sustainability as a cornerstone.

As per the vision, Jordan's energy sector's is supported by achieving "sustainable" energy supply security and "optimal" utilization of natural resources.
