PDTRA highlights investment in hospitality sector in Petra

Ammon News - Petra hotels continue to attract interest from foreign investors, thanks to the investment incentives granted to investors in the hospitality industry, Chairman of Petra Development and Tourism Region Authority (PDTRA) Board of Commissioners Suleiman Farajat said on Tuesday.

According to the PDTRA figures, a total of 900 hotel rooms were approved, of which 350 were operated, while work is in progress to finish the other 550 rooms in preparation for the peak season, according to a PDTRA statement.

Farajat said that a number of investors have submitted the design plans for no less than 500 hotel rooms, pending assessments and approvals.
