Ammon News - The Ministry of Environment, in cooperation with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and the Royal Administration for Environmental Protection and Tourism, on Wednesday, launched a nationwide anti-littering campaign called "Keep a Bag in Your Vehicle" to hand out multi-use trash bags to car owners.

Minister of Environment Muawieh Radaideh on Thursday told the Jordan News Agency (Petra) that environment protection is essential for a nation's sustainable development, noting the ministry's commitment to delivering their educational message to instill the proper values and practices.

Environmental action, he said, is a national priority that must be considered when drawing up economic, cultural, and social development plans.

The local community, associations and civil society organizations are all invited to actively participate in the campaign by creating awareness-raising social media pages that highlight its goals, the financial repercussions of littering, the environmental, health, economic, and social effects, and the fines stipulated in the law.
