Ammon News - The Jordanian Engineers Association (JEA) and representatives of the German Embassy in Amman on Sunday discussed ways to enhance cooperation and partnership, on order to find jobs for Jordanian engineers in Germany, and to implement joint projects and programs.
Bashar Al-Tarawneh, a JEA member, said that the meeting is a continuation of efforts aimed to cooperate with the German official authorities, to achieve the vision of the JEA Council within its strategic plan to have access to non-traditional foreign markets.
He indicated that Jordanian engineers have made significant progress in learning the German language program, and some of them applied for interviews and were able to travel to Germany, and in advanced stages to start working there, in addition to groups that were able to complete postgraduate studies there with almost zero cost, benefiting from mastering the German language.
He stressed the need to enhance cooperation to explore the possibility of conducting training programs in Germany to contribute to qualifying Jordanian engineers and grant them initial experience to work in the German market.
The meeting highlighted requirements of the German labor market in terms of education, expertise and required courses, and covered requirements for exporting engineering work to Germany, as well as clarifying ways of Jordanian certificates equivalency to match the German labor market and its requirements.
