Ammon News - The Jordanian Businessmen Association (JBA) and the Romanian-Jordanian Economic Cooperation Association (RJECA) on Monday signed an agreement to launch a joint Jordanian-Romanian business council to further develop bilateral economic relations.
The agreement was signed by JBA President Hamdi Tabbaa and RJECA President Radu Bogdan Bano.
A JBA statement on Tuesday said that the business council will contribute to concluding joint trade and investment agreements between business owners from the two countries, with the aim of increasing trade exchange, expanding bilateral economic activities, exchanging investment information as well as trade delegations.
"It will also play a role in encouraging Romanian businesses towards positive development in Jordan, by taking advantages of various investment incentives," the statement added.
The JBA President described the prospective council as an important step to advance bilateral relations at various levels, aiming at supporting the national economy, accelerating growth, and providing job opportunities.
