Ammon News - The Energy Ministry on Sunday said that families benefiting from the subsidised electricity tariff for the domestic sector have access to more than one meter located in different governorates, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The government, in order to facilitate the domestic sector’s benefits from the new subsidised electricity tariff, decided to allow heads of families who reside in a particular governorate and work in another to have more than one meter.
These categories also include university students and unmarried workers residing in governorates different from heads of families.
University students are required to register the electricity meter in the name of the head of the family or one of its members, the ministry said, noting that there is no need to upload any documents on the platform due to cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
