Ammon News - Ambassador of Embassy of Poland to Jordan Lucjan Karpinski has advised students of the Al Hussein Technical University (HTU) to strive for further knowledge beyond the university's curriculum.

In a recent event organized by the university's Office of International Relations, the Polish Ambassador gave a lecture, entitled "What HTU Students Could Learn from a Career Diplomat to Enhance their Professional Career."

"Those experiences that we have and do as a passion, as hobby, can advocate and easily be transferred to the bigger projects we pursue, so don’t limit yourself to your curriculum, but always seek more," Karpinski said.

The event is an extension of the Ambassador Lecture Series, which is a monthly event that invites distinguished speakers to share their experiences and knowledge of a particular topic within their field of specialty. The Series intends to introduce and connect learners and educators with world experts, and thus advocate networking and intelligent conversations.

The lecture was attended by HTU community, and was held both in-person and virtual, allowing over 600 people to be engaged.

For his part, HTU’s President Ismail Hinti welcomed the envoy, expressing his appreciation for such an opportunity.

"Be open, curious and embrace the change; constantly learn and be critical thinker; always work to improve your communication skills; put new tools into the personal toolbox; always remember who you are and where you came from; be positive; think out-of-box; stand out from the crowd; pay attention to the details; prepare, rehearse, train and repeat; network in real world; do something good" are among the pieces of advice that Ambassador gave to the aspiring young audience on how to be successful in life.

Touching upon the art of "communication, management, and diplomacy" through connecting them with his "own authentic experiences" is the approach the Ambassador adopted to give the students "a solid and real ground to drop on."
