Ammon News - The Ministry of Health said Tuesday that it recorded 22 coronavirus deaths and 18,477 cases, raising the death toll from the pandemic to 13,554 and the caseload to 1,508,950.
According to the ministry's daily media brief, 26.68 percent of 69,245 PCR tests taken today came back positive, adding that currently active Covid-19 cases topped 188,981 with 240 admitted today to hospitals, raising hospitalizations to 1,234. Some 224 cases left hospitals today, it pointed out.
On hospitals' capacity, the daily figures showed that the occupancy rate of isolation beds in the northern region was at 29%, intensive care beds 43% and respirators 19%.
In the central region, the occupancy rate of isolation beds was at 30%, intensive care beds 48% and respirators 23%, it said.
In the southern region, the occupancy rate of isolation beds was 18%, intensive care beds 19% and respirators 10%, it said.
It also said 15,864 Covid-19 patients have recovered, bringing total recoveries expected after the 14-day isolation period to 1,306,415.
On vaccinations, the ministry said that 4,646,686 people have taken the first dose of the coronavirus vaccines and 4,317,066 have been double-jabbed.
