Ammon News - The Ministry of Health said Tuesday that it recorded 35 coronavirus deaths and 22,720 cases, raising the death toll from the pandemic to 13,382 and the caseload to 1,374,453.
According to the ministry's daily media brief, 30.11% of 75,469 PCR tests taken today came back positive, adding that currently active Covid-19 cases topped 162,653 with 227 admitted today to hospitals that raised hospitalizations to 1,172. Some 229 cases left hospitals today, it said.
On hospitals' capacity, the daily figures showed that the occupancy rate of isolation beds in the northern region was at 23%, intensive care beds 38% and respirators 14%.
In the central region, the occupancy rate of isolation beds was at 30%, intensive care beds 43% and respirators 20%, it said.
In the southern region, the occupancy rate of isolation beds was 17%, intensive care beds 14% and respirators 12%, it said.
It also said 11,833 Covid-19 patients have recovered, bringing total recoveries expected after the 14-day isolation period to 1,198,418.
On vaccinations, the ministry said that 4,622,016 people have taken the first dose of the coronavirus vaccines and 4,283,265 have been double-jabbed.
