Ammon News - President of the Senate Faisal Fayez discussed Wednesday with Chairman of the Saudi Shura Council Sheikh Abdullah Al Sheikh bilateral relations, cooperation and coordination.

During the meeting, Fayez underlined that the Jordanian-Saudi relations are strong and are based on mutual respect and non-stop coordination.

He also pointed to the ongoing coordination and consultation between His Majesty King Abdullah II and the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud on issues of common interest for the two countries.

He underscored the importance of boosting relations, especially under the current difficult circumstances, and the importance of activating relations between the Senate and the Council to serve mutual interests.

For his part, Al Sheikh spoke about the historical relations between Jordan and Saudi Arabia, pointing out the importance of strengthening bilateral cooperation.

The visit of the Saudi delegation to Jordan, he indicated, is vital, noting that it will be different from the usual visits. He also voiced his country's commitment to providing anything that would strengthen relations.

Moreover, he discussed the Saudi-Jordanian Investment Fund and its various projects, stressing the importance of expanding economic cooperation and increasing the fund's allocations to support agricultural projects in Jordan.
