Jordan partakes in pan Arab meeting in Kuwait

Ammon News - Ayman Safadi, the foreign minister, Sunday emphasised the importance of pan-Arab action to address regional crises.
In a "consultative" meeting of the Arab League in Kuwait, Safadi said that Arab countries must be at the forefront of countries addressing Arab crises, highlighting the importance of concerted Arab action on regional challenges.
The meeting, hosted and chaired by Kuwait, had on its agenda a number of issues, not the least of which are the Palestinian cause; the Syrian, Yemeni, Libyan and Lebanese crisis; the efforts to supporting Iraq and fighting terrorism.
The meeting also discussed inter-Arab cooperation on food and medicine security, as well as combatting diseases and pandemics.
On the sidelines of the meeting, Safadi held talks with his Egyptian counterpart on bilateral cooperation and coordination.
The top diplomats’ talks focused on the efforts exerted to realising peace in Palestine based on the two-state solution.
They also discussed the Syrian crisis and a range of regional issues. They reiterated the importance of increasing support for the trilateral coordination framework between Jordan, Egypt and Iraq.
They also discussed the importance of supporting Iraq’s efforts to uphold its stability and security. Safadi also had a meeting with his Omani counterpart on exploring further cooperation on all levels, and enhancing bilateral cooperation.
A number of issues were discussed in the meeting, including Syria, the Palestinian cause and Yemen. They also discussed trade, economic and tourism cooperation.
