Ammon News - Russia recorded Sunday the highest daily COVID-19 cases since the start of the pandemic in the country, with 63,205 infections and 679 deaths recorded in the last 24 hours.

The Russian Centre for Coronavirus Control said that the caseload reached 11.1 million confirmed cases, while the death toll rose to 326,112. More than 10 million people recovered from the highly contagious respiratory disease.

About 81.9 million people in Russia received the first COVID-19 jab, while 78 million received the two shots, the center added.
