Public works minister, Saudi official discuss cooperation

Ammon News - Minister of Public Works and Housing Yahya Kisbi met Monday with Director of the Middle East Department at the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) Abdullah bin Fahd Al-Saheel and his accompanying delegation.

The meeting discussed ways to enhance cooperation between the Ministry and the SFD in a way that contributes to following-up on projects financed by the SFD.

Kisbi lauded Jordan-Saudi ties and the joint keenness to strengthen cooperation in all fields, including the construction, housing and contracting sectors, in line with visions and aspirations of both countries leaderships.

Kisbi thanked the SFD for its permanent and continuous support, which led to the establishment of important development and vital projects, which reflected positively and directly on the road, construction, housing and contracting sector in Jordan.

He highlighted the positive impacts of the SFD-funded completed projects and progress of other projects under implementation, which include a set of road projects across the Kingdom.

For his part, Al-Saheel commended the Ministry's role through managing and following-up on SFD-funded projects, stressing the SFD's keenness to enhance cooperation with Jordan.

He underlined the need for joint coordination with the ministry to follow up on technical matters for all projects in terms of quality control and workflow, and to inform the SFD of all work carried out through periodic reports that SFD receives, as well as briefing the SFD on any developments during the work stages.
