Cold weather to persist for remainder of week

Ammon News - Temperatures on Wednesday are forecast to be slightly above annual average, with cold weather prevailing in most parts of the Kingdom, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD).

Clouds will appear at low altitudes, mainly in the northern and central regions, while winds will be southwesterly moderate.

On Thursday and Friday, cold weather will persist despite a slight rise in temperatures, with clouds at high altitudes and southeasterly moderate winds.

The highs in Amman and other highlands across Jordan today will range between 15 and 11 degrees Celsius, dropping at night to 7C or even 3C in the southern highlands. In the Gulf city of Aqaba, it will be warmer with mercury levels reaching a high of 22C and a low of 11C.
