Obeidat, Omani envoy discuss attracting Omani students to University of Jordan

Ammon News - President of the University of Jordan, Nathir Obeidat, met Sunday with Oman Ambassador to Jordan, Sheikh Hilal bin Marhoon Al-Maamari, on increasing the enrollment of Omani students in the University of Jordan.

Obeidat commended Omani students and their commitment to the university's regulations and instructions and voiced the university's readiness to provide all necessary facilities for them, and to provide cultural attachés, including the Omani cultural attaché, with their students's academic developments.

He also stressed the university's keenness, through its disciplines and faculties, to achieve excellence and promote leadership and creativity in the quality of education, as well as preparing qualified and trained cadres that meet the requirements and needs of the local, Arab and international labor market.

In turn, the Omani envoy stressed the importance of keeping abreast with scientific and academic developments, pointing out that the Omani embassy is keen on selecting distinguished universities and directing students to enroll there, in a manner that would reflect in the quality of the educational output in the Sultanate of Oman.

He indicated that the Omani Cultural Attaché is interested in increasing the number of Omani students studying at the university, given the specificity of its academic programs, the distinctiveness of its disciplines at the regional level, and its keenness to apply accreditation and quality standards.

the Omani envoy met with Omani students in the University of Jordan, and discussed their academic issues, urging them to further invest in educational opportunities at the university and contribute to the advancement of academic outputs to serve their country.

During the meeting, Omani students lauded the university's advanced educational level, the efficiency of the faculty members, and their excellence in the used teaching methods. They also praised their embassy's constant contact with them and the importance of this effort in improving the educational process and improving relations to serve Omani students and enhance their educational level.
