Ammon News - Wajeeh Oweis, Jordan's education minister, and the Armenia envoy Tigran Gevorkyan Tuesday in Amman signed an executive programme on education 201-2026.
The programme seeks bolstering cooperation between Jordanian and Armenian universities, research centres and organisations.
It stipulates that each country should yearly offer a maximum of 30 full scholarships in Bachelor's and Master's programmes in IT, architecture, antiquity, linguistics and medicine, while offering a one-year scholarship in Arabic and Islamic studies. Language classes will also be offered.
The agreement will go into effect as of signing it and will remain in force until December 31, 2026, and it will be renewed by default for an additional five years unless either party submits a written request to not renew it at least 60 days prior to the set date.
The programme could be changed upon the written approval of both parties.
