Ammon News - An initiative to enhance the employment opportunities of Jordanian and Syrian refugees job seekers in the export-oriented industry, has been concluded.
The initiative was conducted under the Trade for Employment (T4E) programme, a project focused on enhancing the conditions of Jordanian companies to increase their trade performance and subsequently create more employment opportunities, and in collaboration with the Amman Chamber of Industry (ACI), Jordan News Agency Petra reported.
A statement by the ACI on Sunday said that the initiative aimed at building the capacities of job seekers by making them acquainted with the essential employability skills.
Under the initiative, implemented by the German Corporation for International Cooperation (GIZ), participants were trained on self-management, self-motivation, time management, effective communication, in addition to some aspects of the occupational safety measures and the Jordanian labor law.
After its completion, the initiative networked job seekers with employers of the industrial sector in Amman, according to their qualifications and skills.
