Ammon News - A charitable campaign was launched in the southern governorate of Karak to distribute 5,000 food parcels to needy families in various regions of the governorate.
President of the Union of Charitable Societies in Karak Governorate, Ahmad Tarawneh, said that the campaign funded by the benefactor Issa Al-Jammal, and it will span over 4 days, under the supervision of the Directorate of Social Development, and include various districts of the governorate in cooperation with charitable societies.
He added that names of poor and needy families, orphans, widows, people with disabilities and people with low incomes were selected carefully and in a manner that avoids repetition and duplication in order to achieve justice and equality and deliver the aid to the deserved beneficiaries.
He pointed out that the Jordan Food and Drug Administration (JFDA) conducted tests for foodstuffs to ensure their safety and quality, and they met the specifications and they were fit for consumption, and had no comments.
