JTB promotes Jordan's religious tourism sites in Egypt

Ammon News - The Jordan Tourism Board (JTB) has organized a symposium on Jordan's Christian religious tourism, at St. Mark's Coptic Orthodox Cathedral in Cairo.

In a JTB statement on Sunday, its Director General, Abdul Razzaq Arabiyat, said this symposium comes as a continuation of His Highness the Crown Prince's visit, which took place last week to Egypt, and its "positive" outcomes.

In light of HRH Crown Prince's visit, joint work is currently underway to market the Kingdom's tourism at all levels in Egypt, Arabyat said.

In this regard, meetings will be also held with concerned Egyptian tourism authorities to come up with "realistic" action plans that can be implemented on the ground soon, which would serve the two countries' interests, in light of "robust, deep-rooted" Egyptian-Jordanian relations, according to Arabyat.

This symposium has attracted "remarkable" attention, marking a "tangible" indicator on the " clear" agreement with Egyptian partners in relation to Jordan's "distinguished" religious tourism sites spread all over the Kingdom and their importance to the Egyptian market, he pointed.

For his part, Head of Jordan's Coptic Orthodox Church, Anthony Sobhi Hanna, reviewed Jordan's Christian religious sites and attractions, adding that the symposium came under the theme: "Fill your Soul with Light."
